Contributor Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in writing for Ask the Experts (ATE).

We are currently accepting unsolicited articles and applications to join our team of regular journalist contributors.

Articles are usually 500-1,000 words.

We cover the following:

  • Science
  • Technology
  • Business
  • Inventions
  • Social Media
  • Recruitment
  • Space
  • Defence
  • IT
  • Energy & Power
  • Environmental issues

If you are a business, then your company can sponsor your own article and we will create a link from your logo to your website. We will also link your name back to your ATE profile page where you can promote yourself and your business services.

Please read through some of the published articles on the site in order to get an idea of the type of work that we publish.

If you wish to submit an article or join our team, contact the Assistant Editor, Gregg Bayes-Brown, via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or give him a call on 01908 268370.

Articles should be submitted in .doc or .docx format. Sources, contact information, links to pictures and other bits of information should be included at the end of the article, along with the author's contact information if they are not known to Gregg.

Articles without this information will not be considered for publication. We also expect a quality standard of English, and articles submitted with numerous grammar or spelling mistakes will be rejected.

Before submitting an article, please complete your ATE profile and upload a picture in the members area.

Ask The Experts team reserves the right to make any and all editorial changes it deems necessary. These include changes in length as well as editing to make the piece searchable on the Web.

ATE reserves to right to republish submitted articles, but will always inform authors of any changes/republishing.

Submission does not guarantee publication.

If you would like to join our team of freelancers, run a monthly feature, or ask about submitting a single article, please contact Gregg on 01908 268370 or send him an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
